LNCT&S – NPTEL LOCAL CHAPTER :
NPTEL has been offering online certification for its courses, the high-light being the certification exam through which the student gets an opportunity to earn a certificate from the IITs!
Our college is a LOCAL CHAPTER OF SWAYAM-NPTEL headed by — Professor (Dr.) Amitbodh Upadhyaya , our Single Point of Contact (SPOC). To take this initiative forward and to encourage our students across colleges to participate in this initiative, we are encouraging the students and faculty members to participate and many have won the certification in different courses.
ABOUT NPTEL LOCAL CHAPTER
NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) is a joint initiative of the IITs and IISc. Through this initiative, we offer online courses and certification in various topics.
Online course: Free for all, Certification exam: For a nominal fee.
Learn anytime, anywhere! Only requirement: Interest and enthusiasm to learn 🙂
To take this initiative forward and to encourage more students across colleges to participate in this initiative, NPTEL chapter in colleges (termed as NPTEL – Local Chapters) has been setup by NPTEL which will be under the headship of a faculty member of the college, who would be our Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
OBJECTIVE:
To provide Students and Faculty a platform to listen to the Lectures delivered by IITs/IISCs, update themselves and get certified by participating in Online Courses and assessments.
LNCT&S NPTEL Local Chapter is a active local chapter since 2017 and Rated A for the session Jan -June 2018 & July – Dec, 2018 . NPTEL has been offering self -study courses for engineering.

NPTEL is planning to conduct the following activities as part of the Soft Skills Training for the benefit of candidates from Local Chapters .
This training is exclusively for Local chapter students and it is offered free of cost by NPTEL.
The training will cover –
1. Online interactive sessions on various aspects of Interview readiness
2. Employability Assessment
3. Online Mock Interview

NOTE: Pre-Final Year/Final Year graduates can apply for the training .
